Jerome's Story...

I am now looking for my very own forever and ever home with a family that will love me as a part of the family. I am just about four months old so my new family must be really ready to commit to the needs of a puppy. I will need you to work with me on house-training and you will need to keep me chewing on chew toys as my new adult teeth come in over the next several months. I am going to need to depend on you to teach me good canine manners and truly just love me and treasure me. I learn best with lots of love:) I am neutered, up to date on shots, and I am microchipped. I have an adoption fee of $250. If you want to meet me please fill out an on-line application at helpadogsmile.org and my rescue friends will contact you so that you can meet me.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jerome, a Phoenix Shih Tzu puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shih Tzu for sale in Phoenix, or seeking a Shih Tzu puppy from a breeder in Phoenix.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Phoenix already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Phoenix breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shih Tzu breeders who help with Shih Tzu rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Phoenix paves the way for another one to be saved.
