Facts about Midnight - Guest

  • Breed: Pit Bull Terrier Mix
  • Color: Black
  • Age: Young
  • Size: Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
  • Sex: Male
Midnight was found on the street in December. He is great with women and teens, but terrified of men -- I think he has been beaten by men, may have been a bait dog looking at all the scars on his face. He has warmed up to my husband, but it took some patience.

He came in underweight, with heartworms and unaltered. He has been altered, weight restored, vaccinations current, heartworm preventative current, and he had heartworm treatment in February at Maize's Mission.

He loves my 10 and 15 year olds, he is playful, but calm and quiet, great on a leash. He has no food aggressions, and is gentle to feed. He has learned to cuddle, but he is still somewhat an independent male so he cuddles, then checks everything out, then cuddles...

He doesn't like thunderstorms, but once you let him lay with you he goes right to sleep. He is crate trained and housebroken. He is great with the female we rescued at the same time, but I have not had him with other dogs. I am unsure about cats, but he catches squirrels and rabbits. He is a sweet boy.

About DFW Furgotten Friends

About Our Rescue Group...

DFW's FurGotten Friends provides a safe haven for stray and abandoned dogs while we search for their new furever homes. We take care of all health issues, have all shots done spay/neuter and supply love and socialization for the ones who can't speak for themselves. Through the efforts of a few we strive to save many. All this is done with the help of volunteers and donations from the people who care about the dogs the world has turned its back on.

Our Adoption Process...

We require an application and home visit before we will place our dogs with families. Our fee is $250, which helps the cost of vetting the dog.
