Rodney is a male Yorkshire Terrier/Shih Tzu mix approximately 4 years in age. He is a solid boy, weighing in at 14 pounds full grown. Rodney has a beautiful tri-color coat that is soft and non-shedding. His tail is cropped and he has a sturdy, compact body. Rodney is extremely social and interactive both with people and with other dogs. He likes people the best and is responsive to voice commands (he learned sit almost immediately). He is smart and alert, catching on to the ways of the household rapidly. Rodney is super affectionate and would be an outstanding family dog. He is good with children and enjoys being included in all activities. He is so loving and sweet. He is not shy and will happily engage in whatever is going on. Rodney welcomes guests and will eagerly wiggle his little stubby tail in greeting. Rodney walks easily on leash and rides in the car without a problem. He likes to go places, anywhere that allows him to join in the fun and be with his people. Rodney also does fine with all other dogs and will play occasionally when the mood strikes. Mostly, he is happy to bop around the house and maybe cuddle on the couch for an afternoon snooze or tuck in with the kids for movie night. He's a great little dog! Rodney was rescued from a very high volume/high kill shelter where he was brought in stray. He is ready to go to his new loving forever home today!
Rodney’s adoption donation is $400 (*TAX DEDUCTABLE). He has been NEUTERED, MICROCHIPPED, VACCINATED, DEWORMED, DEFLEAED and PROFESSIONALLY GROOMED. Also included is his collar with ID, harness, leash, folder with all of his records, a great PETCO coupon book, and a fun goodie bag with toys, etc.
Rodney is being fostered by Pet Match Rescue Foster Volunteer, Carol and is ready for his forever home.
