My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

If you are looking for the perfect pet....then you must meet Easter. She is affectionate, obedient, house trained, fun-loving and great with children. It is not known how she is with cats. Easter arrived at Friendship in April with eight nursing puppies who were only a few days old. She and her litter were immediately transferred to a foster home. The puppies were transferred to other foster homes when they were weaned, but Easter stayed with the same foster family. Not much is know about Easter prior to her arriving at Friendship. She was named “Easter” when she arrived, but might need a new name since she has never really responded when called “Easter.” The foster family did not crate Easter when they left to go shopping or were away, but did fence her in the kitchen area with a dog bed and access to water—and never had a problem. Easter does have a loud bark when visitors arrive or when neighbors are walking their dogs--but Easter’s tail is always wagging and she never growls. Easter greets children and strangers with a loud “hello bark” and then sits to receive their attention. She loves to be next to you wherever you are in the house. Easter is a 4 year old good girl looking for a loving home.

If you have kids and/or another dog in your family and are interested in adopting a Friendship dog please bring them with you for a meet and greet. No appointment is necessary. Stop by anytime during regular business hours.

All dogs receive one or more vaccinations, a basic veterinary examination, are wormed, heartworm tested and spayed or neutered. Dogs 3 months and older are micro-chipped.
