Here's what the humans have to say about me:
At 13 inches and just 20 lbs., Annie may be pint-sized, but her personality is definitely not! This confident and quirky little dog has no issues telling you what she wants and how things should be. Six year-old Annie is being fostered in a home with two other permanent beagles and easily, quickly became the alpha dog. But who can blame her? She's an adorable, loveable, toy-fetching, blanket-burrowing, kiss-giving, lap-sitting peach of a dog! Annie would do well living with other dogs (provided she gets to be alpha) or as an only dog (assuming she gets plenty of exercise and attention). Her foster mom has not seen her with children but suspects she would make a great playmate for slightly older kids. Annie loves to walk but definitely needs some work on the leash. And, true to the breed, she is a chow hound. If you're cooking, she'll be right under your feet. If you leave food anywhere within reach, she'll snatch it. Annie has not taken to the doggie door at her foster home (not up to her standards, it appears :)) so her foster parents began crating her at night so she doesn't have accidents in the house. She does well in the crate, but don't expect to be able to sleep in. Once she knows your schedule, she'll kindly bark if you're not up and walking her at the normal time. If you're looking for a snuggle buddy with a bit of a princess complex, Annie might be the dog for you!
