Here's what the humans have to say about me:
My name is Cody. I am a 4 year old, neutered chocolate cocker boy looking for a forever home. My owners had to give me up due to their medical issues and they were on fixed incomes. I spent a lot of time in my crate because they had so many appointments. They adopted me as a youngster from a local breeder. I was dearly loved, a happy boy and they were sad to let me go, but just couldn't afford to keep me.
I am heartworm negative, micro-chipped and crate trained. I mightl need your help with house training issues in a new environment and if you can let me out often, that's a plus. I am not real comfortable meeting strangers and might bark, but. I just need time to get to know them. I have never been around kids, so 12 and older will be best. I like spending quality time with you as long as you don't smother me and I know how to shake hands (I'm left pawed). I love to chase a ball and I enjoy having a toy box of stuff. I will do well with a regular groomer who can get to know me and a calm home environment with a female owner is preferred. I cannot be adopted out to someone with an apartment or condo type living as I really need a home with a fenced yard. I am a strong guy on a leash, a good eater and I will do best as the only dog in a loving forever home as I am toy possessive and do not care to share my stuff. Please give me the 2nd chance that I deserve..... Maybe I am your new best friend!
