Posey's Info...

I am already spayed, purebred, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Posey's Story...
Posey came to Goofy Foot in April when she was rescued from a horrible hoarding case in Coffee County, TN. Posey was living in a plastic travel crate with another dog and her puppy, "Petunia". (See attached video for footage from the actual rescue)

Posey is 5 years old, a tiny 7 pounds and just the sweetest soul. Posey was nicknamed "Princess Little Face in the emergency shelter because she is so petite! Posey is still learning that people will be kind to her and not hurt her so she will do best with a patient family (older children ok) who will let her learn to trust. She loves to "hug" when you hold her and will seek affection! If you'd like to add Posey to your family please visit our website at www.goofyfootrescue.org to fill out our online application. Posey is in foster care in West TN and will be transported once her adoption is finalized.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Posey, a Allentown Maltese dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Maltese for sale in Allentown, or seeking a Maltese dog from a breeder in Allentown.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Allentown already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Allentown breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Maltese breeders who help with Maltese rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Allentown paves the way for another one to be saved.
