Ivy's Story...
My name's Ivy. I'm a very cuddly, 5-6 week old precious gray tabby girl. I have beautiful stripes going down my back. If I look a bit worried that's because I was found in a drain pipe, dirty & so hungry. Lynxy & I were snuggled together telling each other that someone would bring food. Our hopes were answered when a lovely woman found us. She took us home, bathed us, fed us & held us all night. We now need a foster or forever homes. Adopting two kittens is great because we'll keep each other entertained and we'll always be friends, but we can be separated. I am good with other cats. I've been the vet. She says I'm healthy. I am litter box trained, have been wormed, vaccinated and FeLK/FIV tested. My adoption includes spaying when I am old enough. For many smiles and purrs, please contact my friends at pals@psknet.com for an adoption application. I am crossing my tiny paws for you!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ivy, a Radford American Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Shorthair for sale in Radford, or seeking a American Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Radford.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Radford already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Radford breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Shorthair breeders who help with American Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Radford paves the way for another one to be saved.
