Thor's Story...
Thor originally came into the adoption center on Feb. 26, 2008. He can sometimes be a little shy when meeting new people but this only lasts a few minutes! After that he's ready to have a good time and race around. Thor is a very playful and energetic young boy. He gets along well with all other friendly and silly dogs and seems to get along well with cats. For such a little guy Thor has a BIG personality. He is so happy- go -lucky and he can make you smile just by looking at him! Unfortunately, Thor was adopted and had to be brought back due to his very strong herding instincts. The family really loved Thor and it was incredibly hard to let him go. Thor is a very good boy, he just needs a chance! When he is adopted he will be microchipped and come with much more! To meet Thor or any of the other amazing animals looking for new loving homes please come to the adoption centre at 6220 - 50 Ave during adoption/viewing hours (Tuesdays 2:00 pm – 4:30 pm, Wednesdays 2:00 pm – 6:30 pm, Thursdays 2:00 pm – 6:30 pm, Fridays 2:00 pm – 4:30 pm and Saturdays & Sundays 1:00 pm – 4:30 pm.)

Act quickly to adopt Thor. Pets at this Shelter may be held for only a short time.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Thor, a Cold Lake Lancashire Heeler dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Lancashire Heeler for sale in Cold Lake, or seeking a Lancashire Heeler dog from a breeder in Cold Lake.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Cold Lake already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Cold Lake breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Lancashire Heeler breeders who help with Lancashire Heeler rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Cold Lake paves the way for another one to be saved.
