Raggedy Ann's Story...
A couple driving out at Provincial Park and seen this poor little dog being thrown out the window of another vehicle. She was in very bad shape. she has now been with us for a couple weeks and has been shaved and has treated for a minor eye infections. Raggedy Ann (Rags) is a very sweet dog that just wants to be loved but she would do better in a home with older children or no children. She has had such a horrible life so far that we are hoping someone comes along and gives her such an amazing life that it helps to make up for what she has been through so far. When Rags is adopted she will be spayed, microchipped, and will come with many extras. To meet Rags or any of our other amazing animals looking for new loving homes please come to our adoption centre during adoption/viewing hours (Tuesdays - Fridays 2 pm - 4:30 pm and Saturdays & Sundays 1 pm - 4:30 pm). SAVE A LIFE - ADOPT A HOMELESS ANIMAL!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Raggedy Ann, a Cold Lake Shih Tzu dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shih Tzu for sale in Cold Lake, or seeking a Shih Tzu dog from a breeder in Cold Lake.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Cold Lake already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Cold Lake breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shih Tzu breeders who help with Shih Tzu rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Cold Lake paves the way for another one to be saved.
