Dagwood's Story...
Dagwood is not only one handsome fella, but is also a very special boy! We rescued Dagwood from the local animal control and we are so happy that we were able to help because Dagwood is a happy and playful guy. He is a very active and good with other dogs! He always seems to be smiling and he loves to play with his friends. Dagwood is at our rescue center and loves everyone he meets. Dagwood is just over one year old and is a higher energy guy. So, he will do best in an active home who is looking for a dog to enjoy the great outdoors with or who can give him regular exercise. Dagwood is a bigger guy weighing in at 63 pounds. He does well walking with a harness and he is kennel trained. Dagwood is ready to live the life of luxury in a loving home that will make sure he never ends up in a shelter again. Please consider giving Dagwood a chance at his happily ever after and complete an adoption application at ITVrescue.org. Dagwood is waiting for you!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dagwood, a Evansville German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Evansville, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Evansville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Evansville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Evansville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Evansville paves the way for another one to be saved.
