Sammy's Story...
Sammy | 9 months old | Adoption Fee $75

Sammy is a very loving and trusting little boy with giant bat-like ears. His fur is dense and soft and he loves to be brushed and especially cuddled. Kid, cat, and dog friendly, this little boy is just looking for a place where he can feel safe and secure and love you with all his heart. Even after transport, a bath, and rubdown with a towel (none of which he was very thrilled about), inside of two minutes he was already purring and asking for love and cuddles again.

He's so affectionate and clearly depends on people. When he was unsure he hung tight to me and buried his face into my neck, when he was happy he walked around on my lap and purred. He is very gentle, he doesn't "love bite" and is very careful with his claws when he "massages" you, and he makes excellent eye contact.

Sammy has a very sweet disposition and is looking for just the right family to share it with.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sammy, a Battle Ground Abyssinian cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Abyssinian for sale in Battle Ground, or seeking a Abyssinian cat from a breeder in Battle Ground.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Battle Ground already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Battle Ground breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Abyssinian breeders who help with Abyssinian rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Battle Ground paves the way for another one to be saved.
