Hi!

My name is Dane-elle (pronounced Danielle).

I’m a black female purebred Great Dane.

I’m only 6 months old.

I and my three other siblings were dumped on a stranger’s driveway. We were all starving, underweight, dirty and had barn-yard smells. Most likely, we’ve never been indoor puppies! The wonderful lady was smart to call the FFGDR instead of the animal pound!

I am being treated for parasites and receiving vaccinations. Soon, I’ll be spayed.

I will be ready for adoption either the last week of June or 1st week of July.

I’m currently living at a foster home in central Illinois. If you live far away, there will be volunteers to help transport me to meet you.

I live with two adult male Great Danes. I did become very attached to a female foster dog but she found a new home. I also live with two female human youths and my foster parents.

I love to play with my foster canine brothers.

I know how to be firm and assertive with my foster canine brothers.

I am content in playing with other dogs or by myself.

I have a huge respect for my humans.

I love receiving and giving affections without being pushy.

I do not intrude my human’s space unless invited. I love it if you call me to come to you and give me some loving!

I am a very humbled puppy, whenever I’m being praised.

I am a routine and structure-based puppy. I don’t do well in chaotic schedule.

I do not chew anything but the antlers and doggy toys. Real, raw, unprocessed antlers are my favorite! YUM!

I am crate-trained. I’ve just outgrown a medium sized crate. Now I sleep in the ginormous crate overnight! I never potty on my bed.

I like napping on my twin mattress on the living-room floor during daytime hours.

I’m house-broken. However, if you’re late and you ignore my small “I have to potty” whine, I’ll have no choice but to potty indoors. Remember, I am a routine-based puppy.

I’m working on learning to walk on leash. I’m kinda afraid, but I do make efforts to please my foster family.

I used to be scared of people. Now I enjoy meeting strangers.

I’m very gentle taking treats from human hands.

I’m food motivated during basic training.

I “Sit” and “Wait” before my meals.

I go potty outside when I’m told that it’s time to go potty. I rarely disobey.

I’’ve learned “Sit”, “Down”, “Wait”, “Go to crate”, and “Come”.

I am an alert barker. Otherwise, I generally do not bark.

I eat a total of 8 cups a day, spread over four meals. I’m now getting my female figure and I’m looking good!

I’m gentle with people, including children. However, I love to mouth and play rough with my canine brothers.

So far, I have not nipped nor mouthed my human foster family. But I do have a tendency to drool or lick on them sometimes.

I’ve learned how to sweet-talk my canine brothers. I can easily (but slowly) steal their antlers, balls, or beds! You can see it on one of the videos links above.

I’m always a very sweet girl yet, I know how to bark loudly at my canine brothers whenever they play too rough. They always obey me!

There’s plenty more to tell but I think I’ve said enough for now.
