JEMMA's Story...
I'm Jemma and before you read this, you might want to go get a box of tissues. You see, I've lived in a shelter for over 3 years. I'm not really sure why no one has wanted to adopt me. I'm really very sweet. I love hugs and I thrive on attention. But I don't really enjoy sharing my space with other dogs or cats at the shelter and would enjoy being your only furbaby. It might also be because I'm not really crazy about being around kids. But I'm sure you know humans who feel the same way. Just ask a teacher (kidding :) I am about 4 years old, house broken, crate trained, and don't have any food or toy aggression. I walk
well on a leash. I love to give hugs and kisses! I understand many of our volunteers adore me. (You can even ask them!) So would you please give me a chance? All I need is a little love and affection, kisses and hugs. I promise, you will see what a truly amazing dog I am!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

JEMMA, a Cliffside Park American Staffordshire Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Staffordshire Terrier for sale in Cliffside Park, or seeking a American Staffordshire Terrier dog from a breeder in Cliffside Park.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Cliffside Park already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Cliffside Park breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Staffordshire Terrier breeders who help with American Staffordshire Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Cliffside Park paves the way for another one to be saved.
