Red's Info...

I am already neutered and good with cats.

Red's Story...
Red came to us from the local animal shelter. He is a very quiet, neutered male about 3 years old. He is affectionate and loves to be petted and will practically roll off his perch to get his belly scratched. He is nervous around a lot of people and activity and would do best in a quiet adult home. He shows absolutely no aggression with our other animals and will "talk" to them and was so interested in our kittens that we put him in the playroom. He is now "Uncle Red" to about 10 kittens and sleeps with them, washes them and is very nurturing with the babies. A very sweet boy. He was an outdoor cat with indoors privilege, but if let outdoors will need to be groomed or he becomes matted.
There is no adoption fee for our animals, but a donation to Friends is always much needed and appreciated.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Red, a Quincy Manx cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Manx for sale in Quincy, or seeking a Manx cat from a breeder in Quincy.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Quincy already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Quincy breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Manx breeders who help with Manx rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Quincy paves the way for another one to be saved.
