Comet is a 3 year old American Bulldog . She can be shy and reserved with new people but once she warms up she bonds quickly to those who give her attention and affection. That's when her silly goofy side shines and her whole body wiggles. She likes her walks but they don't have to be long and she enjoys just hanging out on the sofa as well.

Comet is doing well with the male lab mix and cat in her foster home. She will need a confident and dog experienced guardian angel.

Comet adoption fee is $300. The adoption fee allows WOOF Animal Rescue to continue to provide care and medical treatment (including spay/neuter services) for dogs like her while we look for our forever homes. This fee also helps cover the ongoing costs of caring for less adoptable dogs that require longer stays in the rescue, or more advanced medical treatment before finding their forever homes.

If you are interested in meeting me, please go to our website and complete an adoption application at: . Once our adoption counselor receives and approves your application, they will contact you (only if you match my needs) to set up an appointment to meet Comet and/or any of the other dogs in the rescue, which dog may be best for your particular situation, if it’s not me.

WOOF Animal Rescue, in Fremont CA, does not have a shelter, all of our dogs are raised in foster homes. Each dog comes spayed or neutered, up to date on vaccinations and rabies shots appropriate for their age, and dewormed, etc.

Adoption of animals rather than purchasing from those breeding for profit and/or irresponsibly
Responsibly placing these animals in loving permanent homes
Finding the perfect match for both human and animal, rather than placing animals in any homes
Educating people and spreading the word about the importance of pet sterilization to control overpopulation of animals

Our rescue dogs are kept in Foster homes so they adjust to living in a home and can transition easily. Adoption fees help cover the medical care of the animal while he or she waits for a new home, as well as food and transportation costs. These fees also help to provide care for the other animals in the rescue group who may have medical bills that are much higher than any possible adoption fee.
What your adoption fee includes

Veterinary wellness visit and exam
Spaying or neutering
Distemper vaccination
Rabies vaccination (Age-appropriate)
Flea/tick treatment

Please go to our website : to fill out the application. While we’re not able to reach out to every applicant, our team will contact you if you are a strong fit for the dog you apply. Once we contact you, our volunteer will discuss the adoption process with you.
