My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

If you are looking for a companion who loves going places Comet is your girl. She accompanies her foster dad on his Home Depot runs, dog friendly restaurants, short hikes in the hills and even the racetrack in Sonoma in an RV.

She is a happy and goofy girl who will do best in a home with prior large breed dog experience and where she is the only dog. She enjoys her walks. She is housetrained and knows her basic commands.


Comet adoption fee is $325. The adoption fee allows WOOF Animal Rescue to continue to provide care and medical treatment (including spay/neuter services) for dogs like her while we look for our forever homes. This fee also helps cover the ongoing costs of caring for less adoptable dogs that require longer stays in the rescue, or more advanced medical treatment before finding their forever homes.

If you are interested in meeting me, please go to our website and complete an adoption application at: www.lovewoof.org . Once our adoption counselor receives and approves your application, they will contact you (only if you match my needs) to set up an appointment to meet Comet and/or any of the other dogs in the rescue, which dog may be best for your particular situation, if it’s not me.

WOOF Animal Rescue, in Fremont CA, does not have a shelter, all of our dogs are raised in foster homes. Each dog comes spayed or neutered, up to date on vaccinations and rabies shots appropriate for their age, and dewormed, etc.
