Peanut's Story...
If you want to meet the sweetest chihuahua ever then make sure you ask to see Peanut when you come to BHS. I really enjoy being with people who will carry me around, it makes me feel safe. I also like going for walks and sitting in laps- just call me a little lap dog. My goal is to make my new family happy that they adopted me. In my previous home I lived with an 11 year old child and a cat named Annabeth (she's actually here looking for a home of her own). I have a grade 3 heart murmur but it doesn't keep me from being a normal and sweet senior chihuahua. I would love to get adopted soon so please come to see me.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Peanut, a Reisterstown Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Reisterstown, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Reisterstown.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Reisterstown already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Reisterstown breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Reisterstown paves the way for another one to be saved.
