Meet Shelby!
Shelby is a very sweet, young great pyr/lab mix.She is more the size and frame of a lab, not as big as a pyrenees. She was rescued as a stray after having a litter of puppies... but the puppies were not found. She was very thin and scared. We have spent a few months putting some weight on her. She has recently had entropion eye surgery to correct the growth of her lashes which were facing inward and irritating her eye. Shelby NEEDS the companionship of another dog to build her confidence and to keep her company. She also does well with cats. She loves to be outside but will need a fenced yard. Shelby does not do well in a car and gets motion sickness. She will need a home that intends to use a crate as she can get destructive when left unattended. Shelby does not like small children but does well with children over 12. If you are interested in adopting Shelby, please visit our website for an application at www.southernrootsrescue.org
