Kai's Story...

Kai is a young, female black Lab and Shepard mix. Some Samaritans witnessed her and her four siblings being dumped out of a truck in a neighborhood near a military base. The Samaritans quickly worked for two days to put the scared five litter mates back together in a safe place. She and one of her siblings were easily caught with a can of food and a quick swoop.

Kai has a very sweet, lovable and gentle personality. She likes to cuddle. She does like to play with her siblings, but when they get loud she likes to hang to the side. She learns fast. She is learning sit and how to walk nicely on a leash. She is also adjusting to her crate training.

She will do well in an active and calm family where she will get daily walks or hikes. She is a love and deserving of a second chance with a family of her very own!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Kai, a Olympia Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Black Mouth Cur dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Black Mouth Cur for sale in Olympia, or seeking a Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Black Mouth Cur dog from a breeder in Olympia.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Olympia already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Olympia breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Black Mouth Cur breeders who help with Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Black Mouth Cur rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Olympia paves the way for another one to be saved.
