My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Amelia was surrendered to our rescue from a hoarding situation. She surprised us by being immediately friendly and loving and just a great dog. Amelia is a beautiful black mouth cur / shepherd mix in a wonderful tan color. She is calm in personality, although she is always ready to play. She loves children and is good with other dogs. She is a dominant personality so she would be great in a situation as an only dog OR with a submissive second dog. I'm sure the dominant personality comes from her original hoarding situation. It should not be looked at as a negative. Quite the contrary, she is so gentle and calm with our volunteers, rarely barks, and is just a sweetheart.
Amelia is approx. 18 - 24 months old, has been spayed, up to date on vaccines and is testing heart worm negative. We have her on all her monthly preventatives. She is a great size at 35 lbs and should be at her adult weight and size. Good on a leash, loves riding in the car. She is a wonderful girl and ready to head to her forever home anytime.
