My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

The family saw a car stop, open their trunk, and drag a dog out and drive away on a road in South Carolina. They were too startled to find out who did it, but desperately wanted to help this dog. Unfortunately, he did not want to be caught, as he was waiting and hoping his people would come back to get him. But we know that was never going to happen. For the first week he would just run when his rescuers stopped, so they just left food on the side of the road for him. By the third week they were able to pet him and they were able to put him in the crate. Once they had him his whole demeanor changed. He is sweet and trusting and so so happy to be safe. He stays in a fenced yard and has learned basic commands. He is about a year old. Jake is awesome with older children, although we believe the nervous energy of young children would make him retreat. He does not have an aggressive bone in his body. Jake is living with fifteen other dogs all sizes, shapes and ages and is totally wonderful with all of them. In fact, we think he would make the perfect second dog to make your family complete. Jake has been neutered, brought up to date on shots, micro chipped and is ready to go. He is a healthy and happy boy who is looking for love. He is just a puppy and certainly did not deserve to be dumped out like yesterday's garbage, to fend for himself. We have vowed to find him a forever home so that he can lead a better life then the people that dumped him--can you provide that for Jake? Full vetting and transport up north included in his $375 adoption fee. We cannot be certain what his true mix is.
