Hi!

My name is Lexi.

I am a 7 years old, female (spayed) , white/black Great Dane.

I am special needs because I am blind and some hearing loss.

I do need an experienced handicapped Dane owner.

I am house-trained.

I am working on being crate-trained but, I cry non-stop in the crate.

It has taken me a couple of weeks before I accepted other dogs. Occassionally, I’d snap at them but generally, I get along with them fine.

I have never bothered the cats and on occassion, I’d sniff at them.

I know the following commands: Sit, Down, No, and Stay. Unfortunately, I rarely ” listen” so, I’m trying to work on “listening”.

I understand the word “CAREFUL!” because I know that means I will need to stop in my tracks and proceed very carefully.
My foster momma says that I am very sweet and am definitely a lover. I love to give kisses.

I am very trusting and will follow you around however, I am very independent and I will explore the house by myself.

I’ve learned the layout of my foster home and yard. I’m very good at making my way around.

I’m very playful at times and I will run around. I can play alone or with other dogs.

I have never damaged anything.

I am just the perfect loving best friend.

I have lots of good qualities about myself and I am a good dog! However, like any other dogs, there are some issues you should know.

The main issues I have:
1) I do not obey well. I am simply not good at following commands.
2) I really do not like be crated and I do cry a lot.
3) While I do love to give kisses, I jump up to give you a kiss. Some people might object
to my jump
4) Whenever I “hear” things, I will bark.
5) I don’t like eating with other dogs in the same room. I need my privacy.
6) I am blind and I will need eye drops for the rest of my life.
7) Due to my age, please realize the medical costs of owning an older dog.
