Dixie's Story...
Beautiful Dixie is still looking for her forever family!! She would do wonderfully in ANY loving home! She is great with kids of all ages and is very gentle. She is great on and off leash, comes when called. House trained, dog-friendly, she is about as awesome as a pup can get!! She only weighs around 35lbs. She is a 4yr old heeler/lab blend and is spayed, microchipped, current on shots and preventions and is heartworm negative. She LOVES following you around doing yard work or cleaning house, whatever it may be and is just as happy laying at your feet. Dixie is such a good girl and gets really attached to her people so we would like this to be her last move!

We do vet check and home visits on our adopters. Adoption fee is $375 and all dogs are neutered/spayed and up to date on shots. Please contact us if you would like to fill out an application.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dixie, a West Hartford Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in West Hartford, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in West Hartford.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in West Hartford already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a West Hartford breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in West Hartford paves the way for another one to be saved.
