I am already neutered, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.
Hello, big world! My name is Whiskey! So since everybody else here at the shelter has a story, I'll tell you mine. I was dumped at a nice man's hunting camp, hence the name Whiskey! He held onto me for a few days until he could come up with a plan. While he had me, I made friends with kids, cats and other dogs. See, I'm a likable kinda' guy like that. I was so glad that he found me. They think I may be a Retriever mix, and about 4 months old. I am sweet as pie, but I am also your typical, energetic puppy. I love to run and play! I also like knowing that I am loved, which I definitely am here. But, there are no children here! I can't help thinking that I would like a family, complete with children and maybe even another young pup like myself to rip, roar and run with. An active family would be fun! I probably need a safe backyard, one with a fence, to be sure that I always stay safe and never end up homeless again. I don't want to be homeless again. I just want to find my very own family and spend the rest of my years making incredible memories with them. Any families out there looking for an awesome boy like me?

Breed identification by visual means is unreliable for most dogs. We are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. Each dog at CARA is an individual and we do our best to describe each animal based on personality, not by breed label.
