American Staffordshire mix
Female; 40 lbs
A word from Maude's foster mom:
Maude is a super - affectionate people pleaser! She is approximately one year old and appears to be an American Staffordshire terrier mixed with something small...likely chihuahua or another small terrier.
Maude loves playing fetch, but is not aware of how strong she is. She would do best in a home with no small children and where she could be the only fur baby...she put in a request for sleeping in the bed!
She is crate-trained and housebroken, and responds well to firm and consistent verbal commands. She knows how to sit, stay, and lay down, and walks well on a leash once she gets over her initial excitement.
Maude even high-fives and rolls over for dinner. *See the video here on her profile!*
Maude would be a great jogging companion for an active person, and will even cuddle after a workout. Some of Maude's "energy and excitement" may be from being in a home with too many other dogs, as foster care is just a life-saving situation at times, not an ideal one. With that said, we are likely not seeing Maude's highest potential as a canine companion.
Maude is current on vaccinations, spayed, and microchipped. Current on heartworm preventative and flea preventative.
Adoption fee is $67
