 CARLEY

3-4 yr old pit bull mix.  Microchipped, spayed, up to date on her vaccines, and very healthy.

Her build is long, lean and elegant, on the tall side, light brown and white in color.  She is smashing, exuberant, silly, happy, spirited and super smart!

As an abandoned dog (her dog parents had to move and could not take dogs along) she craves a lot of love, she is wiggly and enjoys hugging, touching, playing and being near humans.  She is perfectly safe and very affectionate with people, as a matter of fact can be timid —bark and hide when meeting first.  She warms up in no time.

She did great in her basic obedience class.  A refresher could be useful after she settled in her new home.

She is  a sports champion, she could be outstanding at Fly Ball, or any other agility dog sports. Loves water and tennis balls.  She would make a winning splash dog and she could also be trained to rescue due to her tremendous sense of tracking and smell.

We feel the appropriate person for Carley would be pit bull savvy, enjoy exercising and playing with her.  Carley would prefer not sharing her 2 Legged Best Friend with another dog, although she is well socialized.  She safely ignores cats and livestock, and has a super recall.  She is accustomed to riding in cars, and happy to go with you everywhere.  Since she might behave overly enthused around smaller children we suggest older kids in the household.

Carley is very ready to find her new Friend and home!

About North Bay Canine Rescue & Placement

About Our Rescue Group...

We are a group of people dedicated to rescuing dogs from crisis situations, some of which include euthanasia by animal shelters, neglect and other forms of abuse, or "free to a good home" ads, which result in dogs being bounced from one home to another, or being acquired by animal brokers ("bunchers") and sold to research laboratories where they are used for testing then discarded ("cruelty industries").

NBCR&P works primarily with 5 herding breeds, and herding breed mixes. On occasion, NBCR&P also rescues and places other breeds. We foster our dogs in a home environment, rather than a kennel, if at all possible. We take pride in our promise that at any time and for any reason in the dog's life, if the need arises, he or she has a safe place with us ("return to rescue" policy).
