Hello there! Thank-you for clicking on my profile, I’d love to meet you. Let me tell you a little bit about adopting me.
My name is Gwen and I am a 3 month old female pup who came to NBS Animal Rescue with my litter mates when my mom and dad "accidentally" had us puppies. Our owner did her best with us - but we needed vet care, and proper food and nutrition, and socialization so they contacted the awesome people at NBS Animal Rescue to help make sure we saw the doggy doctor and to help us find great homes. My foster mom and dad met our mom and dad - our Dad was a 7 year old Shih Tzu / Brussels Griffon mix, and our mom was a medium sized Black Lab.
We are all very friendly and loving pups. Most of us are a bit shy in meeting new people at first, but with some gentle touches, tasty treats, and a soft voice we come around pretty quickly and end up in your lap licking your face. We are up to date on all age appropriate vaccinations and are spayed/neutered already.
My friends at NBS Animal Rescue are helping me to find the perfect fur-ever home. All of the dogs in our rescue are have different personalities and needs within an adoptive home. Not all of my friends here at NBS Animal Rescue have the same requirements, so if I’m not be the perfect fit for your family- be sure to check out my other doggy friends too! For me?

- Family who is gone no longer than 5 hour periods.
-Children must be 8 years or older.
- 100% fenced in yard.
If you think I might be the perfect addition to your family please follow these steps:
1.) Visit www.nbsar.org to fill out my adoption application. As an approved adopter, my rescue friends can set up a home visit so I can meet you. Our rescue is 100% run by volunteers, to help your application be processed as quickly as possible, please make sure to….
2.) Call your veterinarian and give them permission to release information about your current and past pet’s veterinary history.
3.) Call your references too! Let them know to expect a phone call from an unknown phone number, and a rescue team member will need to talk to them on the phone as a reference.
My adoption fee is $250.00 and includes a DHPP vaccine, bordatella vaccine, de-worming, spay/neuter surgery, rabies vaccine (age appropriate), heartworm test (age appropriate), heartworm preventative, flea/tick preventative, microchip insertion, bath, nail trim, ear cleaning, leash and collar and one week's worth of food. Our adoption process requires that any pet in your household be current on vaccinations and heartworm preventative , spayed/neutered (unless a documented medical reason is on file with your veterinarian). Dogs must be current on Distemper DHPP combo vaccine and Rabies vaccine, cats must be current on Distemper and Rabies at the time of application. This also applies to any pets in your home within the past five years.
