My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Age: 3 years
Gender: Male
Color: Liver & White
Weight: 55 lbs
Variety: Field

Meet Coco! This sweet boy came to ESRA when his elderly owner was no longer able to look after him. Coco arrived in our care with a serious skin infection that left him without approximately fifty percent of his fur. His skin was red, inflamed, and bleeding. Even his tail was naked.

What a difference two months can make! With daily medications and continued vet care, his coat grew back in. However, Coco will always require medication to control this problem as well as a family who is committed to monitoring his skin care.

Despite his skin issue, Coco is the best dog anyone could hope for. He is calm and quiet when he is inside, preferring to snuggle with his humans and soak up attention. His foster home includes other dogs and teenaged humans, and he does well with everyone.

When he is outside, Coco loves to cruise around the acreage with his nose to the ground. He has the cutest loping run his foster mom has ever seen. He also enjoys testing how far out the window of the truck he can stick his little nose while enjoying rides. Those beautiful, soulful, hush-puppy eyes will melt your heart.

Coco just wants to be with his people; he lives for attention. If you are looking for the most relaxed and best-behaved young Springer out there, then Coco would be your ideal companion.

Please note that an approved adoption application is the first step in a more thorough interview process that is designed to match each dog to exactly the right family, and that the final decision rests with the dog's case manager.

Please read the Adoption FAQ and get an Adoption Application approved before inquiring about Coco.
