My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Buddy is a two years old chihuahua mix. He and weighs about 10 pounds. Buddy was surrendered along with Rocky to our rescue when his mom had to move to New York to live with a relative.
Buddy is in a foster home with many other dogs. He loves to be in your lap and snuggle. If you are on the sofa, expect Buddy to want to be right with you. If you need to run errands, grab your coat and his. Buddy is house trained.

If you are interested in giving Buddy a wonderful home, go to our Facebook page and download the application from the "Notes" section. While you are there, please "Like" our page to see our new available dogs and keep up with upcoming events.

Our application can also be downloaded from our web site www.merceranimalrescue.org

You can also email us at mercerdogrescue@gmail.com and we will email an application to you. Feel free to call Beverly anytime with questions. 901-651-6322

Buddy's adoption donation is $495 which helps to cover the neutering, shots, bordetella (kennel cough), rabies, flea/tick & heart worm prevention, vet examination and certificate of health.

Buddy is living with a foster family in Tennessee. He will travel to his new family by professional pet transport once he has been adopted. We use a weekly transport to the northeast and a twice monthly transport to Chicago / Milwaukee / Minneapolis. Next transport date is June 15th.

Our primary source of funding comes from this adoption donation. This donation allows us to rescue other dogs in danger of being put to sleep, injured or sick dogs and dogs that have never known the comfort of a home.
