Facts about Rowdy & Bud is now just Bud

  • Breed: Brittany
  • Color: White - With Brown Or Chocolate
  • Age: Senior
  • Size: Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
  • Sex: Male
These 2 beautiful boys have lost their only family and home due to a debilitating illness and their Dad has now gone to a Nursing Home never to return home. A family member contacted us to give these boys a chance to stay together and live out their lives in a safe and happy environment. They are bonded and have been together for 11 years.

They have not been neutered but were well taken care of for many years and are healthy and beautiful examples of this wonderful breed. They are family dogs that were living outdoors. We are an outdoor rescue and they will be safe, loved and well cared for but we would like them to find forever love and companionship with a family and be allowed indoors!
Rowdy is 13 and Bud is 11. See them together in Photo #1. Rowdy is in the 2nd photo and Bud is in the 3rd photo. They are gorgeous, sweet and deserve a good life in their later years. We had a Brittany of our own that lived to 3 days shy of his 16th birthday so we know these boys have good years ahead and we want them to enjoy every day! Please open your heart and home to a Senior- the love and loyalty you will receive in return is more than well worth it!

April 2016-Sadly, Rowdy has gone to heaven to join his 2 legged Mom and Dad but Bud is doing well and still hoping to find new home and a family in his later years.

About Texas Best Choices Animal Rescue

About Our Shelter...

We started rescuing dogs in 2001 and became a non profit animal rescue in 2006 out of the sheer need to save animals from the streets, and pick up the ones dropped at our doorstep. We promote spay/neuter, and last year found forever homes for 129 animals from our location, and adopted over 400 through off site adoption..

Donate to Our Shelter...

Find the Pay Pal Donate Button on our Petfinder page or Facebook page.

Come Meet Our Pets...

We are open 7 days a week by appointment. Weekends are preferred. Come see our waggin' tails and happy faces on 22 acres with large runs and a 5 acre play area. Email to ask for directions and to make an appt.

Our Adoption Process...

We have a simple contract ensuring that our rescue will be well taken care of, medically and physically, will never be tied or chained, and that a secure fenced area is provided for outdoor play. We want for each a loving home and to become part of a family. Every animal is up to date on shots and spay/neuter is required.
