Betty's Story...
Why my big ears, why all the better to hear you say wonderful things about me! I am always ready for some fun and to make new friends. I like hanging out with the other puppies here and think spending time with the visitors and volunteers is extra sweet. No one is sure of my family tree but it looks like I have some Beagle mixed in and the folks here are guessing I will be medium size when full grown. I am a happy puppy looking to find my family today.
Before making the trip to visit the shelter we strongly recommend checking our website for information on adoption policies and procedures. Please understand that because we are a busy place and because so many animals need our care and attention, adoptions are on a first come basis and no animal will be put on hold. To inquire about a pet's availability or for more information, we encourage you to visit our shelter in person. Due to the high volume of interest, email and phone inquiries may not be returned on a daily basis. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Betty, a Gloucester Beagle/Hound (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle/Hound (Unknown Type) for sale in Gloucester, or seeking a Beagle/Hound (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Gloucester.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Gloucester already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Gloucester breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle/Hound (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Beagle/Hound (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Gloucester paves the way for another one to be saved.
