My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi there, my name is Fergie and I am a Shepherd/Collie mix, I’m a medium sized girl – short but weigh about 64 lbs and I’m done growing. I am about 3 years. One day I showed up in the yard at a shelter but that shelter was a kill shelter. So either my owner left me or someone found me and just brought me there – who knows. But one thing that everyone knows … I was in that shelter for 2 whole months! But while I was at that shelter they gave me this test and I didn’t even have to study for it because I passed with flying colors! They said I ACED it! It’s called a temperament test and I have a really good temperament, does that mean I’m good? Because I really am. I’m a sweet, mellow girl – super quiet. Nobody hears me bark because I don’t bark. I like to just look at you and just check things out. And you’ll want me to look at you because I have the prettiest eyes, I do. They are the prettiest hazel color. My foster Mom and everyone says “what pretty eyes she has.” I like other dogs, kids & cats I have been around but not interested in. I know my commands – SIT, COME & STAY. I am not food aggressive and walk really well on the leash. I am house trained and now that I am out of the shelter, learning all the nice things that I find in the home such as a couch, dog bed and my foster Mom’s smile. She’s really nice but you know what would be really nice? My own forever home. So how about you call my foster Mom so you can see how pretty I am, look into my pretty, hazel eyes and then I can go to my forever home. Kisses, Fergie.

Fergie is located in her foster home in Aurora. Please contact Fergie’s foster Mom for more information and/or fill out an adoption application at: www.illinoisanimalrescue.org
