Hi!

My name is Mila.

I am a black 2 1/2 years old spayed female purebred Great Dane.

I was surrendered by my owners, because they didn’t have time for me.

Sadly, I was very hungry and very skinny. Thanks to my foster momma, she helped me gained weight and have a wonderful female figure!

I wasn’t very well socialized before I was surrendered. Now that I have foster canine siblings, I learned to play with them.

Like some people, some dogs can be very moody and just wants to be left alone. Guess what, me too! Because ever since I learned to play by myself, I discovered that I actually enjoy it! Now, I love to pick up a ball and toss it in the air by myself! Better yet, I actually prefer being an only dog!

I am potty trained as long as I’m not on a concrete floor.

I like women and am warm to all women I meet. I do like men but, sometimes, men kind of scares me. Probably because men are generally quick-moving human being.

I love teenagers, but I’m not very good with younger than 15 yrs old kids. Probably because they’re even fast-moving human beings compared to men!

I know the following commands: “Sit”, “Lay Down”, “Shake”, and “Leave It!”

I will learn anything you want me to learn as long as you provide me treats. I am VERY food/treat driven!

Due to my zoomies, play and run around, I greatly benefit with a fenced in backyard.

I LOVE going out for walks! With a Gentle Leader, I’m a great walker and I never pull!

I am crate-trained. I’m not thrilled with it because I was forced to be in it for 12+ hours before I was surrendered. Yes, that was very mean thing to do to a dog! My foster momma understands that and doesn’t crate me anymore because I’ve proven that I can be trusted in a room, like my own sanctuary room.

I’m always curious on what’s on the countertop in the kitchen. So far, I’m not a counter-surfer.

I’m in the middle of taking training classes.

Like many good dogs (and Great Danes), I am an alert barker. I have to let my family know when there’s someone at the front door or hear something unusual.

Beware! I have a tendency to moan! No, it’s not because I’m hurt. It’s because I’m comfortable! You see, whenever I’m laying down and change position, I’ll moan like a lion. My foster family thinks I’m funny!

I’m very big on receiving kisses as well as receiving praises and smiles from my family.

My foster momma says that I am SO LOVEABLE and I just want to please my family. Most importantly, I want and need to be loved in return.
