My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Like most of the pugs that come into our care, we do not have a history or background for them and always ask of ourselves, what is this pug’s story? Where is this pug’s family? What happened in their past? Phoenix is another one of a long line of pugs with unanswered questions… Since the few weeks that Phoenix has been in his loving foster home we do know that Phoenix is a remarkable, unique pug. He is calm, kind and very submissive. He will even move away from his bowl if another pug takes interest in his meal. Phoenix is not comfortable around children and has taken a little while for Phoenix to learn he can trust, but in time he has cuddled on the couch and will give out kisses. Unfortunately, he cannot be neutered and has only one testicle that has descended. The reason is that Phoenix has a heart murmur that would make going under anesthesia a risk. We are arranging to take Phoenix to the coast to our specialist for a closer look at his heart. What we do know, is that pugs with this condition can live a very long and happy life. We would love for Phoenix to take flight to a new home where he will be lavished in the lap of luxury, despite what may be considered flaws. We believe that Phoenix is a worthy of a forever home, as we know he has many adventures ahead and is deserving to experience true Pug Love.
