Amber the Dog's Story...
Meet adorable Amber. She is 2.5 years old, weighs approx. 50 lbs.,she is housetrained and crate trained, up-to-date on shots, spayed, and on heartworm preventative. Amber loves people and other dogs and is fine with cats (shows no interest in them either way). Amber was found tied to a fence with a broken pelvis, which has been treated and Amber has fully recovered. Even though she was left behind, in terrible pain, she is still a sweetheart and a very very good girl. She does not dig in the yard or jump the fence. When you sit down, her ideal place in life would be to sit right in your lap. She is a really sweet and loving girl that needs a forever home. Amber must live indoors as part of the family. Please contact Donna at dblong54@aol.com for additional information.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Amber the Dog, a Decatur Pointer/American Staffordshire Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pointer/American Staffordshire Terrier for sale in Decatur, or seeking a Pointer/American Staffordshire Terrier dog from a breeder in Decatur.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Decatur already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Decatur breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pointer/American Staffordshire Terrier breeders who help with Pointer/American Staffordshire Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Decatur paves the way for another one to be saved.
