Roscoe's Story...

Contact this pet's foster/rescuer for additional information at: [bkerlin@atlantaoncology.com.].

Roscoe is a 10yr old mellow, sweet boy who's mom had to go into an assisted living home. He's a very good cat who is just looking for someone to love him! He is good with other cats and lived with two dogs in the house. He is neutered and up to date on shots. He is currently staying at a vet clinic but can't stay there for long.  Hopefully someone can fit low maintenance Roscoe in to their home. If anyone is interested in helping this homeless kitty, please call Brandie at 770-238-9529 or email Bridget at bkerlin@atlantaoncology.com.

This adoptable is not a Doggie Harmony animal, but a courtesy listing on behalf of the kind person who rescued and cares for this animal until it can find a forever home. There will likely be a fee to reimburse for the cost of its vetting/care; it will vary by rescuer/animal. Additionally, this rescuer will ask you to complete an application and allow a home visit to ensure pet is a good fit for your home/lifestyle. If you would like to proceed with the application, please go to www.doggieharmony.org > Forms > Adoption Application. Upon completion, you may send it to adopt@doggieharmony.org, as well as the contact listed in the above description.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Roscoe, a Decatur Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Decatur, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Decatur.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Decatur already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Decatur breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Decatur paves the way for another one to be saved.
