Shortiest's Story...
Shortiest is an adorable little pup with spunk and love to give!

Note: We are currently accepting applications, but puppies will not be available for adoption until mid-September, once they've been spay/neutered. They will be approximately 3-mos old at that time and their adoption fee will be $150.

Shortiest is a short little pup who is great with other dogs and loves to play.  Her ears are small and dusty brown, and the rest of her coat is classic brown and tan Dachshund, just like her twin sister, Shorty. If you're looking to bring a happy, loving and sweet puppy into your home, Shortiest could be the one for you!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Shortiest, a Decatur Dachshund/Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund/Labrador Retriever for sale in Decatur, or seeking a Dachshund/Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Decatur.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Decatur already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Decatur breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Dachshund/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Decatur paves the way for another one to be saved.
