My name is Ginger!

Dachshund Dog for adoption in Cole Camp, Missouri - Ginger

I found a new home!
Plenty of my friends are looking
for one too. Find a pet to adopt.

Ginger's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, purebred, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.

Ginger's Story...
05-08 Ginger is 7 1/2 years +, H/W neg., housebroken, microchipped. She has been raised with older children.

Originally surrendered by her owner to a shelter she then found her way into BassetsRus rescue impersonating a basset.

Once her deception was discovered she then went to Ft. Timmerman, then to Doc for Rabies & dental, then came on site. Lil Hans is delighted to have her here as is William.

We anticipated to find an abscessed tooth due to swelling below the eye. Doc found no tooth, drained the cyst, wants us to keep a close eye on her. If the cyst returns then he must do surgery to remove what may be a piece of tooth fragment remaining.

Ginger loves a lap, comes with a complete profile of her likes & dislikes from her original owner. This is just one very sweet little girl, getting along with everyone who comes her way!

She has made herself at home in rescue, greeting the other fur-kids. She is fond of Fritz who also arrived today.

05-24 Ginger slept quietly all night, out first thing to do her duty. She is definitely housebroken! And such a little sweetie!

05-25 Ginger is adapting well to pack life. She may miss her previous home yet she has found living with other doxies is quite suitable.

Ginger comes with a donation to the City of Cole Camp Pennies for Pooches program. This program benefits ONLY the city pound dogs, not our rescue dogs.

All dogs leaving the pound to another rescue will be altered & Rabies prior to leaving. Adopters of pound dogs get a low cost spay/neuter PRIOR to going home with their pound pet.
The updates on his/her likes & dislikes will help you know if this fur-kid is suitable for your home.

The adoption fee ranges from $150 to $300.

The fee is based upon veterinary care, age & size of dog.

The higher adoption fee on the younger small dogs helps care for the older dogs that take longer to find fur-ever homes.

Senior citizens and disabled receive a discount.

We also offer a discount to those in uniform keeping us safe.

Our adoption process begins with the e-mail or phone call to us. Please be prepared to furnish your complete name, address, telephone number, your veterinarian contact information & at least two personal references. We will then call you to ask a series of questions.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ginger, a Cole Camp Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund for sale in Cole Camp, or seeking a Dachshund dog from a breeder in Cole Camp.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Cole Camp already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Cole Camp breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund breeders who help with Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Cole Camp paves the way for another one to be saved.
