Coming to MaxFund was a very different experience for me. I grew up wild, you see, and didn't know any humans before I started living here. The other cats told me that people can be pretty nice, bringing us food, water, warm bedding, cat treats, and even toys. Now, snacking is not really my thing but boy, do I ever love to play! Once I get to know a person I'll follow at arm's length, hoping for a nice game with a feather wand. I'll bet that I can tire you out long before you do the same to me! I guess that sharing my space with people might not be so bad after all.
Though I was independent for most of my life I think that I'd like a family of my own now, as long as they understand that going slow is the best way to win my trust. I'd prefer to live in a quiet house without too much commotion. Other nice cats are OK, but small children and dogs may not realize that a gentle lady such as me enjoys her peace and quiet. I may never be a lap cat who will cuddle up with you the moment you sit down, but I enjoy human company and can happily while away the hours sitting near you in companionable silence. I don't ask for much, just a snug bed, good food, and a romp with a fun toy. Do you think that you're the kind of patient person who could love me? I sure hope so!
