Important Note

Maggi is best friends with Christi. Please adopt both of them so they can stay together!
My name is Maggie. When I was first posted on here to find my forever home I was only 6 months old. But I'm all grown up now. I just had my birthday recently. I'm still an energetic little girl that loves to play and run. Especially with my sister Christi. Wherever she's at you will find me too. My sis and I are very attached to each other and I rely on her a lot. Sooooo.....her and I need to be adopted together. I would miss her terribly if she wasn't with me. Both of us are house-trained and crate-trained and are ready to go. I would love for you to meet us. But, first you need to fill out an application at

Maggie was the runt of the litter. You wouldn’t know it now. She's all grown up having just turned one. She does love to play especially with her sister Christi. They are very close and will need to be adopted together. They were part of a litter of six puppies that came to us from a San Antonio shelter where they and their mother were going to be put down. We have had them since they were a day old. If you are interested in them please fill out an application remembering they do need to be adopted together. Both are sweet girls who deserve a lot of love.

About Texas Collie & Sheltie Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Texas Collie Rescue, Inc.

Our Mission

Texas Collie Rescue is made up of individuals that love the breeds with a mission to help Collies and Shetland Sheepdogs (Shelties) to be placed in the best possible permanent homes. These Collies and Shelties may be found throughout the State of Texas and surrounding states as strays or in shelters, dog pounds, humane organizations, or even homes that for some reason are no longer able to provide the best circumstances for their loved pet. When received, Collies and Shelties will be evaluated and provided with any necessary veterinary care to give them the best possible quality of life. They will be spayed or neutered, checked and treated for heartworms and other internal or external parasites, vaccinated, and micro-chipped.
The Collies and Shelties will be maintained in loving foster homes to return them to health, evaluate their temperament, improve behavioral issues, and wait for that right family to provide their forever home. Potential adopters will be evaluated to determine if they have commitment to provide a loving home with proper care and concern for their new family member, as well as to determine if the family and individual Collie or Sheltie will be a good match for each other.
Texas Collie Rescue will also provide educational resources to help people learn about the proper care and special needs of Collies and Shelties.
Texas Collie Rescue relies on financial contributors, fund-raising efforts and for volunteers to provide foster homes, transportation assistance, and activities involved in support of its goals.
