Sunset's Story...
Sunset, she's so funny, just like a little huggable imp. Sunset is about ten weeks old and stunning. She looks like a Black Tiger Tortoiseshell with beautiful orange scattered in her fur, especially on her nose. She is so unusual that she is called a Torbie, a mix of Tortoiseshell and Tabby. Sunset is awesome!!

She loves to run and play with her foster friends, especially Peaches. They chase each other from one end of the house to the other, jumping up high and landing on the other if they catch up. Sunset is the talker and is telling Peaches that she's going to win during the whole chase. Sometimes she will break off the chase or ignore her toys and come looking for you to see what you are doing. She'll follow you all around to help and supervise or if she finds you resting she will be in your lap, purring loudly and asking for attention. If you're in the kitchen, she'll sit by your feet and talk to you, telling you that it's time to eat. You can't help but adore this exceptional little girl. She has such a sweet disposition.

Sunset has already had her shots and is FeLV/FIV negative. To meet this special girl or learn more about her, please contact her foster mom, Joan, at 970-874-8239 or email at jftbones@kaycee.net. $75 adoption fee includes refundable spay/neuter deposit. Updated 7/13/15

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sunset, a Austin Ocicat kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Ocicat for sale in Austin, or seeking a Ocicat kitten from a breeder in Austin.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Austin already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Austin breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Ocicat breeders who help with Ocicat rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Austin paves the way for another one to be saved.
