Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi ,
My name is Jackson. I had a family for my entire life (about 7 years). I loved them soooo much and I thought they loved me too.
One day my owner took me to PAWS (Animal Control), the officer let my owner know, I didn't have a very good chance of being adopted because "Big Black Dogs " rarely do. He said he didn't want me any more because, I chased the Horses. I didn't mean any harm, I was just curious and wanted to play with them. I would never dream of hurting them.
I was so scared, because of what the officer said. I prayed he wouldn't leave me there but, he did.
Who would want me, when there are cute little puppies in the kennel right next to me? People would stop and pet the puppies and would rarely stop at my kennel. I guess, I just wasn't myself there. I was shy and scared.
A couple volunteers fell in love with me and emailed a rescue lady. She arrived just in the nick of time. I was just starting to show the signs of kennel cough and in that place, kennel cough is a death sentence.
From the very moment I left the shelter, I was a different dog. I went from being depressed and scared to happy and outgoing. My foster Mom says I'm the perfect dog, super sweet, happy and easy going, but I can be a little grumpy when small children want to be in my space too much, so a home without kids would be best for me. My tail and tush are always wagging. My foster Mom says she can't believe someone didn't want me. I love everyone and I'm so easy going.
I love my foster home. I live with 2 foster brothers (human) and 7 cute girl's (dogs). Does it get any better then that?! Oh! and now I have a younger, foster furry brother...he jumps on me to try to get me to play but, he really just gets on my nerves! .......Typical little brother stuff. In a perfect world, I would like a new home without a brother (dog). My sisters don't get on my nerves, even though two of them are puppies. But I would really like to be the only male dog in the house.
If you'd like an easy going, sweet heart of a dog and you think I could be the one, please email for an application. My adoption fee is $150!
Wiggles and Wags,
Jackson
