Missy's Story...
Missy was feeling pretty sad when we first met – she was turned in due to her owners’ allergies and you could just tell by looking at her that she was confused and feeling lost.

Missy is a sweet, gentle, peaceful soul who just tugs at your heart. Missy loves attention and is so happy to simply be with her people. Missy loves being pet and will make the process more convenient for you by proactively placing her head into your hand! Missy would be great for someone who likes petting a kitty while reading a good book, chatting on the phone, or watching a movie. Missy will also cuddle up against your chest and occasionally open her mouth and meow a silent meow of affection.

Missy likes to explore and especially enjoys all of the nooks and crannies a kitty condo has to offer. Depending on her mood, she’ll curl up in one of the condo’s cubby holes or she’ll settle onto a perch where she can watch everything going on around her. Missy is fine in the presence of other friendly kitties and seems to enjoy watching their antics.

Missy is a calm, quiet, friendly girl, beautiful on both the inside and outside. She has years of experience in loving her people and providing them with a soothing, comforting presence. She hopes to have some new people to call her own soon so she can get back to the all-important job of having someone to love whole-heartedly and unconditionally again. Missy was given up by her owners due to having allergies.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Missy, a Phoenix Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Phoenix, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Phoenix.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Phoenix already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Phoenix breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Phoenix paves the way for another one to be saved.
