Lucy's Story...
Meet Lucy! Lucy is a sweet and lovable 8 year old girl looking for her forever home. Her owner recently passed away, and thankfully one of our wonderful fosters stepped up to help her before she went into a shelter. She is still a bit confused and scared after being moved from the only home she knew, but is starting to warm up in her foster home. She loves to be pet and shows her appreciation by purring in thanks for the attention. She enjoys being up high at a vantage point where she can watch everything going on. She does really well using the litter box and has a good appetite and is a healthy girl. This shy girl is looking for a patient and loving adopter while she comes out of her shell, where she will know she no longer needs to be afraid.

If you are interseted in Lucy, please contact Michelle at or call 212-875-7538

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lucy, a New York Domestic Mediumhair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Mediumhair for sale in New York, or seeking a Domestic Mediumhair cat from a breeder in New York.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in New York already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a New York breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Mediumhair breeders who help with Domestic Mediumhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in New York paves the way for another one to be saved.
