Facts about RILEY

  • Breed: Feist Mix
  • Color: White - With Black
  • Age: Young
  • Size: Small 25 lbs (11 kg) or less
  • Sex: Female
Riley is a cute little dog with a big sad story. She showed up super pregnant at a construction site and it appears that she was dumped there - probably because she was prego. A kind person called a lot of kind people trying to get her some help, and a series of kind people stepped forward and Riley is a lucky girl for it. She went into foster care and had 6 beautiful puppies who have now been weaned. Riley is terribly shy with strangers, has special fear of men, and is afraid of loud noises. But, once she knows who you are, she LOVES you and only wants to sit in your lap and tell you that you are in face the best thing in the history of the planet. Riley needs a home without small kids only because loud noises scare her and she will probably want to hide most of the time. She is great with other dogs - intimidated by them - but could benefit from the company of a friendly mellow dog who could help her come out of her shell. Riley is about 1.5 years old, 12 pounds, and heartworm negative. She is current on her vaccines and will be spayed before adoption. Please open your heart to a super sweet but sad little dog in need!

About Carroll County Humane Society

About Our Shelter...

The Carroll County Humane Society is a NO-KILL Animal Shelter in McKenzie, West Tennessee. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, with funding coming entirely from private contributions, fundraising and grants. We care for approximately 250 animals at one time in a building we've purchased and in foster homes. Our goal is to utilize Adoption and Spay/Neuter as our community's animal population control - not euthanasia. We hope to insure that all companion animals have a warm, safe, loving home and to assist and educate the public about proper pet care. We also give shelter to abused animals while assisting law enforcement to prosecute their abusers.
