OZZIE's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.

OZZIE's Story...
OZZIE; the Wirehaired Pointing Griffon is energetic, loving and intelligent. Rescued from a nothern shelter this one year old is now in a foster home and working on building his frame with some fine meals!

We believe OZZIE to be a wonderful hunting pointer; as his nose is in the air and he listens intently and gracefully takes laps around the property adn then takes a dip in the pool to cool off!

This breed is also an excellent family pet - being gentle and affectionate with children. This dog is very willing to please and is easily trained. Ozzie specifically likes the challenge of catching the ball or playing chase with the other dogs(he is the one with the ball and they are chasing him). Devoted and friendly, but some can be rather high-strung and nervous with strangers and unfamiliar situations, but for the most part is generally friendly toward strangers, other dogs, and pets. We are socializing extensively and invite his new owner to do the same when young to maximize this tendency. This breed is an excellent watchdog.

Please email milne7896@comcast.net to schedule an interview with Ozzie. Ozzie is microchipped; neutered and all vaccinations and is heartworm negative. Adoption donation is $250.00.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

OZZIE, a Sacramento German Wirehaired Pointer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Wirehaired Pointer for sale in Sacramento, or seeking a German Wirehaired Pointer dog from a breeder in Sacramento.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Sacramento already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Sacramento breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Wirehaired Pointer breeders who help with German Wirehaired Pointer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Sacramento paves the way for another one to be saved.
