found a new home!
Plenty of my friends are looking
for one too. Find a pet to adopt.
I am already neutered, housetrained, and up to date with shots.
Hi all! We’ve recently received into rescue two adorable pups. One is a male, named SNOOPY, and the other is a female, Sloopy, (found here - http://norcalbcrescue.org/sloopy2015.html). But Hang On Sloopy, you'll be on Adopt-A-Pet shortly. SNOOPY has a mostly white coat with black ears and black around the eyes. The information below is written in the context of both pups and while they are not littermates, they have been together much of their lives. We will be adopting them out separately so they may grow independently.
Both dogs are typical run hard, crash hard, 9-week old puppies. Snoopy loves toys and balls and Sloopy is right there with him stealing the ball and tugging on the tug toy. These energetic pups love to be petted, held, loved on and CUDDLED! Wow do they love to cuddle! And that tummy tickle is always fun too! This winsome duo agrees that water is fun. They like to drink from the fountain or step into the baby pool, which feels great on those hot summer days! Both pups crate nicely, are quiet overnight and are working on their housebreaking. Both are treat motivated and are attentive to their surroundings. They both like the cat but neither one bothers her and both of them seem to know to "look and not chase!" Well done puppies!
While similar looking and certainly comparable in many ways, they do have distinctive personalities. Indoors, Snoopy is the more outspoken and busy and Sloopy is the more laid back and easygoing. Outside, roles are somewhat reversed. Sloopy tends to be the more inquisitive and likely to follow the other dogs about the property, whereas Snoopy might be more interested in overseeing things from the front porch or poke his head out from foster dad's office to see what’s what. Regardless of who’s taking the lead, after an adventurous day of fun, both pups like to plop down, stretch out and close their eyes on the big comfy dog pillows.
SNOOPY is started on puppy vaccines, wormed, on heartworm preventive and microchipped. As a condition of puppy adoption, SNOOPY will need to be neutered by the new owner when reaching approximately 6 months (specific time to be determined by your vet). In addition to the adoption fee, puppy adoption requires a $100 spay deposit. Upon our receiving the neuter certificate from you, the deposit is refunded.
If you have an approved Northern California Border Collie Rescue & Adoptions Application (http://norcalbcrescue.org/adopt_info.html) and wish to enquire about SNOOPY or SLOOPY please email us at Adoptions@norcalbcrescue.org. If you have an approved adoption application with Border Collie Rescue of Northern California let us know and we will request it be forwarded to us for consideration.
SNOOPY is being fostered in Auburn in Placer County, California
