Pickles's Story...
We are the only kittens out of a litter of six that survived a senseless act. We were placed in a box at the tender age of three weeks and tossed out like yesterday's trash. Luck was on our side as we were found and rushed to a vet. We were bottle fed until we were old enough to eat on our own. Now at 9 weeks old we are ready to start an entire new life adventure. Our names are Mouse and Pickles. Although we are little boys, we are a force to be reckoned with. Since we have been handled at such an early age we are super social and just love to hang out with our foster mom, helping her with everything whether she needs our help or not. We love to play and big cats with fluffy tails are just another toy. We are very active, thriving on romping and wrestling with each other. After we have worn ourselves out we love to cuddle as we are as sweet as can be. We really want to find a furever home where we are spoiled and cherished. Please take a chance on us, you won't be disappointed.

Please call CARE @ (804) 288-9797 or apply online and ask our foster mom Connie all about us.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Pickles, a Richmond Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Richmond, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Richmond.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Richmond already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Richmond breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Richmond paves the way for another one to be saved.
