Sully's Story...
Sully is an interesting combo of golden retriever and basset with the short legs and his nose ALWAYS to the ground! He only weighs about 30 lbs but behind a closed door his bark sounds like a great dane! He LOVES to fetch the tennis ball so he'd love to have a fenced yard to run around in. He also LOVES to play with other dogs so if you are wanting a dog for your dog then he is your match! He's perfecting his house training skills and is almost 100%. He sleeps in a crate at night and while I am gone to work. If you are looking for a spunky little guy with a BIG personality then adopt Sully! He's fostered in Huntsville, AL.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sully, a FOSTER Golden Retriever/Basset Hound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Golden Retriever/Basset Hound for sale in FOSTER, or seeking a Golden Retriever/Basset Hound dog from a breeder in FOSTER.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in FOSTER already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a FOSTER breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Golden Retriever/Basset Hound breeders who help with Golden Retriever/Basset Hound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in FOSTER paves the way for another one to be saved.
