My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Max is looking for a new home. His current family love him but they are a busy family and don't feel they are able to give Max the exercise and attention that he needs. This is what his current family says about Max:
"We are looking for some help rehoming our dog Max. Maximus is an Alaskan Husky and Pit Bull mix. He is approximately two years old (June 2013). My daughter got him as a puppy. We inherited Max last summer because my daughter could no longer afford the cost of two dogs. Max is extremely friendly; he has no problems with strangers or children. We have a two year old and they get along well.

Max will chase cats and birds out of our yard. He is leash reactive towards dogs when we walk/run, but dogs walking with their owners off the leash have come up Max and they have interacted without a problem. This behavior could likely be improved with training. Due to his age he has a lot of energy and enjoys playing fetch, walks, or runs. I have taken him on 4-5 mile runs without a problem. He would do best with someone who could take him on regular walks/runs. He is not much of a barker.

Max is house trained; Max sleeps indoors and can be left at home for hours without an accident. Max is very healthy. He has had regular checkups at the local SPCA. He currently takes Nexgard monthly for fleas and ticks and a heartworm medication. He does not have any known allergies."
